AZTEC JAGUAR BOWL
his Aztec receptacle in the shape of a jaguar was probably used to hold incense or ceremonial foods. The jaguar was the most feared and admired animal in Mesoamerican cultures going back to the Olmecs. The jaguar was the totem for one of the two fraternal military orders of the Aztecs.
